Facility & Equipment Engineer
BioLamina seeks a Facility & Equipment Engineer to maintain and optimize production facilities, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment for high-quality recombinant protein production
BioLamina is looking for a Facility & Equipment Engineer to join the Technology team within the Operations unit.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the production facility and equipment are maintained in optimal, cost-effective condition, including tasks such as upkeep, repairs, and maintenance of facility systems, utilities, and machinery. You will collaborate daily with various departments across the company, as well as with external service and maintenance providers. This position involves both independent tasks and teamwork in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment, contributing to the supply of high-quality recombinant proteins.
The role will be primarily based in Flemingsberg, with occasional work in Sundbyberg. The successful candidate will collaborate with teams at both locations to achieve our shared goals.

Main tasks and responsibility:
- Managing the monitoring of systems, equipment and FMS data and managing FMS alarms.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of systems and equipment.
- Serve as the technical point of contact for system interfaces with the landlord (e.g., water, electricity, lighting, safety).
- Manage purchases and installation of equipment, spare parts and necessary materials.
- Coordinate new equipment installations, ensuring compliance with the company's quality system.
- Participate/plan/perform/report studies, validation and qualification work of equipment.
- Assist with on-site inspections and audits conducted by third parties and regulatory authorities.
- Lead and initiate continuous improvement initiatives.
- Write and update documentation in line with the company’s quality system, including SOPs, change controls (CC), deviations, and corrective actions (CAPA).
Requirements:
- Degree in engineering or a similar discipline.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of facility maintenance and monitoring systems.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English, with proficiency in Swedish considered an advantage.
- Broad knowledge and expertise in utilities (such as HVAC, LAF, gas handling and water system).
- Experience of documentation according to quality management systems and qualification of facility/equipment.
