BioLamina is seeking a driven and highly motivated Technical Applications Specialist to join our dynamic international team. In this role, you will serve as a key technical and scientific resource for our innovative laminin-based substrates, supporting pluripotent stem cell (PSC) expansion and differentiation. This position bridges cutting edge science with customer facing engagement. You will collaborate with leading researchers across academia, biotech, and pharma, helping them reach their goals while advancing the application of our technology in regenerative medicine, disease modeling, and cell therapy.

This is a full-time position based in Boston, with regular use of office space in Cambridge, MA to support collaboration with the US-based team and foster strong internal communication and alignment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a key scientific and technical resource for the company´s portfolio of PSC expansion and differentiation substrates for customers in the Boston and broader Northeast region.
- Provide expert-level technical support, including experimental design, troubleshooting, and optimization strategies, to researchers in academia, biotech, and pharmaceutical companies utilizing company products.
- Deliver compelling technical presentations, seminars, and workshops to educate potential and existing customers on the benefits and applications of the company´s laminin-based substrates.
- Conduct on-site visits and virtual meetings with customers to understand their research goals, technical challenges, and provide tailored solutions using company products.
- Collaborate closely with the US-based sales and business development teams to provide scientific support during the sales process, including product demonstrations, troubleshooting, and technical discussions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders and scientific influencers in the stem cell and cell therapy fields within the region.
- Stay abreast of the latest scientific literature, industry trends, and competitor activities in the PSC and cell therapy space to effectively position company´s products.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, technical support activities, and sales opportunities within the CRM system.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Cell Biology, Stem Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, Cell Therapy or a related life sciences field (PhD preferred).
- Hands-on experience with human PSC culture, including both expansion and directed differentiation.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex scientific concepts into customer-relevant insights.
- Prior customer-facing experience (technical support, sales support, FAS, etc) is a plus.
- Familiarity with the sales process (e.g., technical sales support, field applications, product demos) is highly beneficial but not essential.

Salary and benefits
The estimated salary range for this field-based role is $95,000-$115,000 per year. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual bonus determined by the board and a comprehensive health plan.
