Accounting Assistant
BioLamina seeks an Accounting Assistant to support invoicing, reconciliations, and reporting — part-time in spring/autumn, full-time in summer. Grow with a collaborative finance team.
We are looking for someone to support our accounting team on a part-time basis during spring and autumn, and full-time during the summer.
To thrive in the role of Accounting Assistant at BioLamina, we believe you are currently studying finance/accounting or have recently graduated, with a strong interest in accounting. You have a basic understanding of bookkeeping and a willingness to learn and grow, even if your practical experience is limited.
In this role, you will work with day-to-day accounting tasks and support both internal and external financial reporting related to BioLamina’s operations. You will be part of a dedicated team where you will have the opportunity to develop, take responsibility, and gradually build your expertise in accounting.
You will also work closely with the CFO and the rest of the finance team, supporting the development of accounting routines and reporting processes.
Responsibilities
Accounts Payable: Register and review invoices and ensure suppliers are paid on time
Accounts Receivable: Manage incoming payments, communicate with customers including sending reminders, and forecast incoming payments
Banking: Ongoing registration of manual invoices and bank files, as well as weekly bank reconciliations
General Accounting: Post journal entries such as receipts, invoices, and bank transactions
Reconciliations: Perform account reconciliations
Administrative tasks: Handle mail, archive documents, and respond to finance-related questions from other departments
Other tasks
Participate in improving internal accounting routines and processes
Monitor invoice payments and act as a point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders regarding basic finance-related matters
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in finance/accounting (ongoing or completed)
Experience in accounting is considered a plus, as it will help you quickly adapt to the role
Fluency in both Swedish and English, with strong communication skills both verbally and in writing
Good knowledge of Excel and Word
Experience working with ERP systems is an advantage
